Bookings / Conformation

All transfers need to be booked directly through the BCT booking link situated on the Griffith website.

Booking Changes

Changes to bookings are subject to availability. Please carefully check the details on your ticket and notify BCT if any information is incorrect. Whilst Business Class Transfers exercises due care we will not be held responsible for incorrect information provided by the Customer or Agent. For any changes on the day of travel, please contact BCT on the 1300 763 005 or +61 7 5575 7029.

Homestay contacts

Drivers are to call the host that is listed on the job sheet when leaving the airport to inform host of the approximate arrival time. If there is no answer, drivers are to call BCT. BCT will advise driver of instructions. BCT will liaise with Griffith staff.

 Luggage allowance

2 x suit case and 1 x carry-on bag per person are permitted. All excess baggage including sporting equipment must be requested through reservations when booking, additional charges apply. All luggage is the sole responsibility of the passenger, we will not be responsible for the loss of, or damage to luggage, whether such loss or damage may be due to alleged negligence or misconduct on the part of the company, its employees or agents. Mobility Aids are not considered excess luggage and will be carried at no cost, space permitting. Motorised mobility scooters cannot be transported with Business Class Transfers.

Baggage allowance

Duty free bags can be stored on the students lap. If the students have any other extra luggage, we will need to contact Griffith or BCT Transfers and inform them about the extra $20.00 per suitcase, which will then either be invoiced to Griffith or cash taken at vehicle before travel. If a student does have excess luggage which then requires a second vehicle, the student with the excess luggage will have to wait until the next available vehicle.   Any changes to invoicing is to be emailed to Griffith with-in a 24 hour period.

Oversized luggage including, but not limited to sporting equipment i.e. surfboards, skies and all bags in excess of 20kg will be an extra $20.00 per piece.

Unaccompanied Minors

Any child 5-16 years travelling alone with Business Class Transfers must be booked as an unaccompanied minor. Additional charges apply for escorting unaccompanied minors. Business Class Transfers does not take any children under 5 as an unaccompanied minor.

Wait time is based per car not person, therefore if two or more students are travelling, the price will be the standard student rate per student plus $99 per hour.   Griffith will need to specify whether the student requires check in assistance only and/or the driver to wait with them until departure.

Airport Meeting Point

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -The driver will meet the student 30 minutes after the actual landing time just outside the Customs exit inside the terminal. There are 2 exits, please take the exit to your left. The driver will be holding up a sign with the students’ full name clearly written on it with the Griffith logo. Students are not to leave this area until they have made contact with their driver.BRISBANE DOMESTIC AIRPORT -The driver will meet the student 15 minutes after the actual landing time at the luggage carousel for their flight. The driver will be holding up a sign with the students’ full name clearly written on it with the Griffith logo. Please ensure that you are at the correct luggage carousel assigned to you by the Airline staff. If you are unsure, ask an airline representative. It may be suggested that the student makes contact with their driver before they retrieve their baggage.GOLD COAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – The driver will meet the student 30 minutes after the actual landing time just outside the Customs exit, inside the terminal. The driver will be holding up a sign with the students’ full name clearly written on it with the Griffith logo.

GOLD COAST DOMESTIC AIRPORT – The driver will meet the student 15 minutes after the actual landing time at the luggage carousel for the flight. The driver will be holding up a sign with the students’ full name clearly written on it with the Griffith logo. It may be suggested that the student makes contact with their driver before they retrieve their baggage.

STUDENT NO SHOWS

INTERNATIONAL
If a student does not arrive or fails to board the plane, the driver will wait up to 1.5 hours after the actual flight arrival time. Once the driver has waited for the specific time frame and the student is a no show, the driver will then contact one of Business Class Transfer Operations staff members. Operations will then contact Griffith during business hours (08:30am – 16:30). Griffith will still be charged for any students who are a no show.

DOMESTIC
If a student does not arrive or fails to board the plane, the driver will wait up to 30 minutes after the actual flight arrival time. Once the driver has waited for the specific time frame and the student is a no show, the driver will then contact one of Business Class Transfer Operations staff members. Operations will then contact Griffith during business hours (08:30am – 16:30). Griffith will still be charged for any students who are a no show.

Extra passengers

Business Class Transfers Drivers are to contact BCT Operations to inform them about the extra student/s that have arrived and are not on the list. They will inform BCT if they are able to transfer the additional student and cash is to be taken at vehicle before travel. Any changes to invoicing is to be emailed to Griffith with-in a 24 hour period.

 Complimentary Wait Time

We will provide, at no cost, complimentary wait times as per the following table:

International Terminals 90 minutes from flight arrival (from actual flight arrival)
Domestic Terminals 60 minutes from flight arrival (from actual flight arrival)
Cruise Ship Terminals 30 minutes from docking
Other addresses 10 minutes

 

Additional charges apply where the driver is kept waiting at the pickup point for longer than the Complimentary Wait Time.

Infants

An infant is a child under the age of 3 years. An Infant must be accompanied by a Guardian. The guardian must be 18 years of age or older, unless they are the parent of the infant. All children under the age of 7 years must be seated in an appropriate baby seat or booster seat as defined by the Regulatory Authority in each state. Baby/booster seats must be requested at time of travel. A charge of $5.00 per transfer applies.

Smoking and Alcohol Consumption

Smoking and alcohol consumption is not permitted aboard any BCT vehicle at all times. If a passenger tries to board a transfer intoxicated they may be refused transfer by the decision of the driver, and no refund will be applicable.

Assistance Dogs

For passengers with a disability who require a Service dog to travel with them, a Certified Service Dog can travel free of charge when in the company of the passenger.

Medical Conditions

Please advise Reservations at time of booking if any passengers have a serious medical condition or have had surgery within 24hrs of travel.

Embarkation

Business Class Transfers allows enough time for passenger to be at the airport one hour prior to your domestic flight and two hours prior to your international flight. If a pick up time is requested by the passenger which is less than what BCT recommends, BCT Transfers will take no responsibility for failure to meet flight time.

Outsourcing Policy

Only in the event that BCT cannot fulfil a transfer due to adhoc operational circumstances, Business Class Transfers have Australia wide alliances and exclusive partnerships with other transfer companies that work hand in hand with BCT.

All alliances and exclusive partnerships have an agreement with BCT and follow Business Class Transfers high level of customer service and transfer standards in all areas. If a passenger is using a BCT alliance or exclusive partner as an outsourced company BCT takes responsibility of all booking and service requirements through the company’s reservations and operations team.

If we have an unexpected student arrive and we cannot transfer them within 2 hours, we may need to arrange one of our preferred suppliers who have agreed to the above terms and conditions to ensure they collect the student on our behalf. BCT must ensure that the preferred supplier has all necessary clearances when transferring the student.

Any scenario’s which are not documented in the above information, will be based on a day to day basis.

Limit of Liability

To the extent permitted by any applicable Laws or Conventions, we are not liable for or in connection with any:

(a) Loss sustained to Baggage, including (without limitation) Loss which is solely the result of normal wear and tear;

(b) illness, injury or death of any person, including (without limitation) any illness, disability or personal injury to you, or your death, caused or aggravated by the travel where such travel posed a risk to you due to your age, physical or mental condition;

(c) Loss caused by your negligence or breach of these Conditions or your failure to comply with applicable Australian Laws, regulations, orders or requirements

(d) Loss caused by our compliance with applicable Australian Laws, regulations, orders or requirements of any applicable country;

(e) Death, personal injury, delay or Loss caused by accident, mechanical breakdown, burglary, theft or fire

(f) Loss arising out of or in any way connected to the provision of transport and other services to you (whether arising from negligence or otherwise) including, without limitation, any change to the transport or services described in or covered by the Booking or inaccuracies or errors in any information related to transport, services or pricing.

We will rely on all limitations of liability and defences under the Convention and any applicable Laws. We reserve all rights against any other person, including rights of contribution and indemnity.
